The “creative class” is expanding out from the field of art and into all modes of production. Even in what would seem to be the least creative professions, the mantra is to discover, research, innovate. Creative people are those who create profit. Techniques used by artists, such as improvisation, stepping out of the frame, team creation, blurring borders between work and leisure time, are increasingly being applied to different kinds of work.
